Requirements
Required Experience and Education A university degree in a relevant field is required; a master’s degree in a relevant field is strongly preferred. Minimum 10 years of progressively senior leadership experience in international development, humanitarian action, or related sectors. At least 5 years in a senior country leadership role with accountability for strategy, programs, people, risk, and financial performance. Demonstrated experience in the management of institutional grants and individual donors. Demonstrated success in securing funding from varied sources, with a strong emphasis on pre-positioning, strategic networking, and donor engagement. Expected level of effort in business development: 25% or higher. Proven experience leading resource mobilization and securing funding from bilateral, multilateral, philanthropic, and private-sector sources. Experience in emergency programs and/or community development programs. Demonstrated experience representing an organization at senior government, donor, and diplomatic levels. Experience leading organizations or programs within West Africa is strongly preferred. Experience managing partnerships with NGOs and local civil society organizations. Experience managing multi-partner programs and strengthening local civil society organizations. Demonstrated experience leading organizations through change, growth, and organizational transformation.
